I work with a variety of mediums. I often start sketching outside with charcoal and chalk, or pencil and watercolour. I love the looseness and freedom in these sketches. They are a way of capturing snapshots of colour, shape and line.

Using these sketches as reference material, I create oil paintings back inside the studio.
